Synopsis

The problem
Nouns has incredible art and a few standout narrative experiments. What it doesn't have is a daily, participatory, story-generating layer: a place where any holder can show up, play as their Noun, and shape the story of the nouns alongside others.
The Nounish aesthetic travels to real-world events, web3 communities, and beyond. But it lacks the everyday stories that make a brand stick.
Noun City fills that gap.
What we're building
Noun City is a web-based, AI-assisted world for collaborative storytelling, built around the Nouns collection. It starts as text-based multiplayer interactive stories (a format we've developed) and gradually expands into richer media experiences, keeping human creativity and Nounish spirit at the core.
It is a platform to foster a new era of storytelling.
Interactive Adventures
Stories can be created by a director, then played collectively by a group of friends. They're open to everyone. Users pick a Noun to embody. The best stories become scripts that can be replayed by new users discovering Noun City over time, creating an evolving world of fun and meaningful adventures. Stories can be set anywhere in the city: streets, districts, or inside the Spaces that holders have built.
Spaces and Venues: Bringing real projects in the City
Noun City is not only a place for fiction. Noun holders can open Spaces : dedicated locations inside the city tied to their vision or purpose. A Space gives any project a living presence in the Nounish world: a location that exists on the map, shows up in stories, hosts events, and draws other players in.
A Space can be a shop, a studio, a gallery, a lab, a tavern, whatever fits the vision behind it. Directors can set stories inside it. Other players visit, interact, and carry its lore forward. The Space becomes part of the lore.
This creates a direct economic opportunity for Noun holders who are building something. Visibility inside Noun City connects to visibility in the broader Nounish ecosystem and beyond.
Space owners can sell services and goods directly through their Space. Noun City takes either a rent or a small fee on each transaction, which flows back into funding new stories, sustaining the platform and expanding the world.
Noggle — the AI narrator
Floating Noggles glasses, part Clippy, part dungeon master. Noggle helps directors set up stories, suggests actions, surfaces the best daily stories, and narrates the world of Noun City, including the Spaces that populate it. Noggle is the personality of the platform.
Farcaster : A Social Layer for Noun City
Noun City uses Farcaster as its social layer, letting friends play together, find each other, and visit Spaces. It's also where the world leaks out and draws people in.
Noggle has its own social media presence here and on X, posting daily story updates, cliffhangers, and lore results as if reporting live from the city.
The Creathon : A Founding Community Event
Early in the build, we will host a creathon — an online community gathering for collective storytelling, feedback, and co-creation. Noun holders, players, and contributors come together to write the first stories, stress-test the mechanics, open the first Spaces, and shape Noun City from the inside.
The Creathon is a founding ritual. It happens while the platform is still being built, so that the community's voice is embedded in the design. Stories born at the Creathon become the seed canon of the world. Spaces opened there become its first landmarks.
It also gives us a practical feedback loop for the team: play, friction, ideas, captured early enough to matter.
Why Nouns DAO should fund this

Beloved stories first, then bigger media. Nouns has shipped impressive flagship work: animations, films. What's still missing is the everyday mythology that makes a brand resonate. Noun City empowers the community to build that foundation. All stories stay CC0, so animators, filmmakers, and other creators can extend the world in any direction.

Storytelling as a medium. Storytelling is one of the oldest forms of community building. Noun City extends Nounish culture into daily, participatory narrative.

A new economic layer for builders. Whatever a holder is building, business, community, or creative vision, Spaces give it a home in Noun City to host events, appear in stories, and earn fees.

Multiple paths to sustainability. Story passes, daily canon mints, Space fees, and on-chain minting rituals can create sustainable revenue after the initial build phase. We don't commit to one prematurely. We look for the ones that fit.
Budget
We are requesting $30,000 USDC to fund a focused 4-month build sprint toward a playable MVP.

Coming from the LUM community, dedicated to Human x AI collaboration, we are working on bringing stories to life. Our first experiment began with Casters, a Loot inspired world. We believe that a new era for stories is coming, and that web 3 is the ideal place to explore it.
